Book Description :

When two single people meet for the first time, they often arrange a “coffee date.” Coffee Dates From Hell is a humorous fictional account of several very bad coffee dates. Many of these dates are disasters from the beginning. Others are destined to be train wrecks if the two people ever see each other again. The coffee dates include several famous people such as Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, and J. Edgar Hoover. You’ll also meet a range of colorful characters including a psychic, a cross dresser, and even a cannibal. The coffee dates include many funny twists and surprises. The humor is often silly, irreverent, and politically incorrect.

My Opinion :

This was a pleasant surprise to me i was not sure how i was going to like the book! But it turned out to be a very funny and unique read. I really enjoyed the Diary entry part . Colors Of Awakening: Into The Mists by O.N Gandelman

You can purchase book here:

Book Description:

"Have you ever felt like you knew what was going to happen?"
Have you ever felt like you were seeing something that was not supposed to be there? ...Have you ever felt different? Terribly different?”
"My beautiful girls, you are witches.”

In those few words, Kate Collins’ world- along with that of her two best friends- Sophie Lolens and Alexa Peters, collapses.

With their lives on the balance, the girls are transported to a magical world that coexists with our own ”" The Mists. There they learn the truth that was hidden from them all of their lives, and about the destiny that patiently awaited their arrival.

Like a snow ball that begins its roll innocently enough, the girls are rapidly carried from a colorful fairytale into the twisted corridors of a dark story, filled with cobwebs, intrigue, secrets and lies, all converging together under the growing shadow of an awakening war in that magical world.

The snow ball won’t stop until the girls reach the point of no return, where love and family will be on the balance and death on the other hand of the scale.

From the Back Cover:

What inspired me to write the book?
It's a rather funny story. I was eleven that summer. My best friend Masha (to whom I dedicated the book to) and I were spending every single day together. At those days we loved playing a never ending game of play-pretend, and we pretended to be witches. As we were running around that summer, we were sure that great and mysterious things were happening to us during the game, and so I decided to write about them.

But, as it often happens with kids, all those "mysterious" things were mysterious just in that moment and only to us, and were rather boring when I wrote them down.

So I decided to tweak the story; I addedthings that never happened and exaggerate those that did. Eventually, itturned into something completely different. After a while, the symmetry of the story didn't work for me. As a child, most of the stories and fairytales my Mom told me were all revolving around the number three. There were three princesses and three nights to save them;there were three dogs or a three headed dog;three boxes and three tries that Rumpelstiltskin gave the girl... Soon I understood that I needed to have three witches in my story. The first two were based on Masha and myself since I started writing the story about our play-pretend. It wasn't long until I realized that the perfect third party was my cousin Alice, who loved witches just as much as I did (and to whom the book is also dedicated).

So I had my three main characters and an initial idea for an antagonist. Over the years there were times I couldn't stop thinking about the story and inventing more and more details, but there were also large periods where I didn't give it a second thought. At first, it was a book about twelve year old witches written in the form of a diary, then it changed into a script, and then a different script. It was only when I was seventeenorso that I wrote the first chapter of the book in its current form.

And now, years later, it's the first book of a six-book series.

My Opinion:

I love reading young adult books and i love fantasy! This was a great book it pulled me in from the start and held my attention till the very last page. I love when a book is able to do that and i can just escape into its world. The world in which the book takes place in is such a wonderful magical fantasy land! I felt like i was right there along with the characters. It has a great story line. I loved this book and i can not wait to read the other books in this series. I feel like the author did an amazing job and i highly recommend this book to others. It was such a thrilling and exciting read.

I am not one to give away books in my reviews and i also dont read other book reviews because so many people give the book away and its honesty something i can not stand.

Hidden Under Her Heart by Rachelle Ayala

From Good Reads:
Maryanne Torres has sworn off sex. Intent on finding a marrying man, she joins a church youth group. A party at her pastor's house turns into a drinking binge, and Maryanne is raped.

Lucas Knight's only concern was winning the Ironman Triathlon until the morning he finds Maryanne unconscious in the church parking lot. He becomes the prime suspect, even though Maryanne cannot identify her attacker.

Maryanne wants justice but the identity of her rapist is hidden in the baby she plans to abort. A trap is set. Lucas races to clear his name and keep Maryanne's secret from drowning her and her baby.

My Thoughts:
I was very torn on this book. I just recently within the past year had a miscarriage. So this was honestly hard for me to read it was very emotional. Knowing i lost this baby and had no choice to keep it and then reading about those who have abortions was just to much for me i understand things like rape happen and its horrible but the death of a child is far worse in my eyes then being raped.

I do not want to give the book away. The book takes lots of unexpected turns but all in all it was well written. Religion is not shoved down your throat all that much and the author does a great job expressing everyones feelings not just being one sided.
